McKenzie & Co. Expands Into Outdoor Furniture with the Newport Collection

Chromcraft, a well-established provider of comprehensive home solutions, has a storied history of pushing the boundaries when it comes to introducing innovative product offerings. From the iconic Sculpta chair, which found its place on the futuristic sets of the 1960s Star Trek series, to dining sets that have reached far-flung destinations like Australia, South Africa, and Israel, the company has consistently ventured into new territories. This tradition of exploration and innovation continues with the unveiling of its latest expansion, impeccably timed for the High Point Market: the Newport collection designed for outdoor use, under the McKenzie & Co. Outdoor brand.

In the words of David Urbanick, the Vice President of Chromcraft Revington Douglas, "We've been dedicatedly working on this project for a considerable duration. Building upon the triumph of our indoor McKenzie & Co. Collection Modular line, we are now introducing modular seating solutions designed explicitly for outdoor environments."

The debut McKenzie & Co. Outdoor collection presents an impressive assortment of 15 unique SKUs, all set to ship by late December. Among the standout pieces, the Armless Modular chair takes the spotlight, with pricing ranging from $599 to $699. This collection showcases a range of notable features, including Chromcraft's patented "Comfort Flexx" spring back, innovative "Attachables" arms, and table options that seamlessly integrate with the seating configurations. Additionally, the collection boasts robust aluminum frames and structures, available in three captivating powder coat finishes: Coal Black, Anthracite Gray, and Cloud White. It also incorporates Culp's Outdoor LiveSmart fabrics, engineered to fuse style and durability seamlessly.

Urbanick emphasized the shifting preferences of today's consumers and how the collection aligns seamlessly with current trends: "In the contemporary world, individuals are increasingly prioritizing their well-being and surroundings, especially when it comes to outdoor spaces. People are dedicating more time to outdoor living and are determined to make these spaces not just inviting but also stylish and enjoyable."

He went on to explain, "Expanding on the triumph of our indoor Modular program, which already comprises three exceptional collections, this venture into outdoor seating represents a natural progression for our business. The rapid growth we are witnessing directly corresponds to the rising demand from consumers for versatile seating solutions within their homes. Our modular seating, with its limitless configurability, is the perfect answer to this burgeoning need."
